The Nassau Institute is holding a Dinner Presentation on November 12, 2009 with Dr. Richard Ebeling present the topic “From Socialism to Free Markets” at The British Colonial Hilton, Downtown Nassau at 6:30pm on November 12, 2009. Listeners will learn:

  • Inevitable outcomes if The Bahamas continues its 37 consecutive years of deficit spending.
  • General thoughts on why the Economic Freedom ranking of The Bahamas fell from 42 to 53 in the 2009 worldwide rankings.
  • How The Bahamas may be impacted by current USA & G-20 policies.

Dr. Richard Ebeling is professor of economics at Northwood University.  Previously, he was the President of The Foundation for Economic Freedom and most recently taught at Hillsdale College &  Trinity College. He received his PhD in Economics from Middlesex University in London, England.  Dr. Ebeling is a leading member of the Austrian School of Economics, Dr. Ebeling writes and lectures widely around the world and has written hundreds of articles, received awards and written several books.  His most recent book, Political Economy, Public Policy, and Monetary Economics: Ludwig von Mises and the Austrian Tradition, will be published in December 2009. Admission:  $60 per person includes 3-Course Meal.  Valet Parking Available.  Optional Early 6pm Cocktail Reception.
