Palma de Mallorca – RIU Hotels & Resorts re-opened on November 26th as the Riu Paradise Island after an intense renovation of 35 million dollars that upgrades the hotel’s category to a Palace, the most elegant and sophisticated RIU product line. The new Riu Palace Paradise Island has new public areas and new restaurants. Its 379 suites and junior suites reflect a modern decor and luxurious features such as flat TV screen, coffee maker, in-room laptop size safe and 24 hour room service (free).

This opening takes the sophisticated Riu Palace experience to one of the most paradisiacal tourist destinations in the world: the Bahamas Islands. The new Riu Palace Paradise Island has an extraordinary location right on a three mile stretch of white sandy beach next to the famous Atlantis Casino.

The new 5 star hotel offers All Inclusive 24 Hours service and has a wide array of gastronomic options in its five restaurants. Among all of them, the ‘Krystal’ stands out. This new gastronomy concept was created by RIU professionals in 2007 exclusively for its Palace hotels. The Krystal menu offers a modern combination of techniques and ingredients from around the world and in its culinary experience decoration and lightning have also a leading role.

The gastronomic offer in the new Riu Palace Paradise Island is completed with its main restaurant ‘Atlantic’, which offers a buffet with international cuisine and several thematic nights a week; the Japanese ‘Tengoku’, the gourmet ‘Sir Alexander’ and finally the Grill-Steakhouse ‘Bahamas’. The hotel will also have four bars, amongst them the new Sport-Bar. Cocktails, soft drinks or snacks are available 24 hours a day.

Riu Palace Paradise Island Hotel has a large swimming pool with integrated jacuzzi with a spectacular view of the Caribbean and a complete Renova Spa in which the use of the gym, sauna and jacuzzi is free.

Riu Palace Paradise Island will also have space for meetings and events in its Grand Ballroom that measures more than 3,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 160 persons.
